How to measure for outside mounted blinds

Width

Measure the exact width of the window frame or how wide you would like the blind to be.

Measure enough to cover the entire window and provide maximum light coverage.Example: If your window opening is 40" wide, please order 44" if you have enough space on either side of the window frames.

This will add 2" of coverage to either side of your window, blocking outdoor light.

We will not deduct or add to your measurements. The outside mounted blinds will be made to the width ordered.

Be aware of any window hardware (I.e., opening mechanisms and latches) that may affect the smooth operation of the blinds. Do allow room for window hardware.

Height

Measure the height/drop. From the top to the bottom you would want your blind to reach.

Measure enough height to cover the entire window for maximum daylight coverage.Example: If your window opening is 64" high, please order 68" if you have enough space above and below the window frame.

This will add 2" of coverage on top and bottom of your window, blocking outdoor light.

We will not deduct or add to your measurements. The outside mounted blinds will be made to the width ordered.

The dimensions for the height include the cassette; therefore, the height indicated should be the desired height from the top of the blind to the closed position.

Cassette dimensions

The height of the cassette is 3.15"

The width (Depth) mounting location is 2" and from facia is 2 7/8" (refer image below)
